My Story

I was born in Calgary and moved to Winnipeg when I was 5. Since then, Winnipeg has been home.

After graduating from high school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Winnipeg. Then, I decided to pursue the Applied Counselling certificate program through the University of Manitoba where I fell even more in love with the field of helping others. Helping others in their healing journey is what led me to the Masters of Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University.

In my early 20’s, I moved to Ecuador for a year to experience life in another country. This is where I learned to speak intermediate Spanish.

Throughout my (many) years in university, I worked in the Social Services sector, specializing in Mental Health. Through various roles, I was able to apply my education and learned so much along the way. Somewhere in the midst of working and studying, I had two children. When my children aren’t keeping me busy, I like to go to the gym and dance Salsa.

As we work together, you can expect a safe and judgement free zone. I always meet my clients where they are at. This means that you take the lead with what you want to talk about.
